Aline Sarah Müller (*2001) is a composer and violinist.
In her work she is particularly interested in instruments—specifically their diverse playing, modification, and usage techniques—as well as their contexts and the social phenomena associated with music.
Aline is currently studying composition at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln with Brigitta Muntendorf and Oxana Omelchuk. Previously, she completed a double bachelor's degree in composition (with Xavier Dayer) and violin (with Monika Urbaniak) at the Bern University of the Arts (HKB), graduating with distinction.
As a violinist, Aline is a member of the Insub Meta Orchestra (insub.org) Since 2023 she has been the managing director of SME (Schweizer Musikedition, musinfo.ch).
Alines music has been performed at festivals including the Acht Brücken Festival in Cologne, the LIMINA Festival in Salzburg and the Darmstädter Ferienkurse, and interpreted by ensembles such as HYPER DUO, Ensemble Musikfabrik, Asasello Quartett, Camerata Atamerac, Latenz Ensemble, Aventuri Quartett, and Ensemble Proton. Deutschlandfunk Kultur aired a portrait broadcast about her work in 2025. In 2026, her new opera will be performed at the Neuköllner Oper as part of the Berliner Opernpreis.
In 2025, Aline was awarded the Bernd Alois Zimmermann Scholarship by the City of Cologne.
