Aline Sarah Müller (*2001) is a composer and violinist.
She studies composition at the HfMT in Cologne with Prof. Brigitta Muntendorf. Before that, she completed a double bachelor's degree in composition with Prof. Xavier Dayer and violin with Prof. Monika Urbaniak at the Bern University of the Arts, where she graduated with distinction. In the winter semester 2023/24 Aline was at the UdK Berlin for an exchange semester in composition with Prof. Daniel Ott, Prof. Kirsten Reese and in violin with Prof. Axel Gerhardt.
Aline has received regular compositional impulses from Simon Steen-Andersen and Gilbert Nuono and attended masterclasses with, among others: Pierre Jodlowski, Matthiew Shlomowitz, Elena Rykvoa, Du Yun, Trond Reinholdtsen,... She has also taken part in various master classes, such as the Festival Mixtur, the Darmstadt Summer Courses and the International Symposium at the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music in Bangkok.
She is the winner of the “Protonwerk 14” of the Ensemble Proton, the ESTA String Competition with the composition “slip&slide”, the Amman-Falb Scholarship with the project “SUBPERPOSITION”, won the 1st prize of the SJMW (Swiss Music Competition) in the FreeSpace category in 2021 and was selected to participate in the LIMINA Festival 2024 in Salzburg.
As a violinist, Aline is a member of the Insub Meta Orchestra (insub.org), Studio Musikfabrik (2022/2023) and the SJSO (Swiss Youth Symphony Orchestra, sjso.ch).
Since 2023 Aline has been managing director of SME (Schweizer Musikedition, musinfo.ch).
